HOW TO USE THE FINDER
Put each known letter in its position. Leave unknown positions empty.
Include letters that belong. Rule out the ones that don't.
Explore the matches. Learn a meaning. Save a word for later.
Use the four letter word finder when a puzzle already fixes some letters. If A is the second letter and M must appear somewhere, enter _ A _ _ and include M. CALM, CAMP, DAMP and MANY are among the possibilities. A new clue can then separate them: if the final letter is M, CALM fits but CAMP does not.
This mode assumes letters outside your clues are unrestricted. If you only have a particular supply of tiles, the rack-based four-letter page is a better starting point. You can also reveal the rack control under More options here. The same matching logic handles both, with different controls brought forward for each task.
Included letters mean at least that many copies, not exactly that many. A single M allows a word with one or more M letters. Repeating a letter in the input raises its minimum count. Excluded letters disallow every copy, and the repeated-letters toggle removes any word that uses a letter twice.
Reset clears the current pattern, optional controls and guess history in one step. Share search copies a link that recreates your clues without putting them in a new indexable page. Saved words are separate from the search and stay available when you reset. They are stored only in your current browser, so clearing browser storage also clears your shortlist.

HELP & DETAILS
Letter counts, word lists and search tips.
Yes. Put the letter in box 2 or 3 and leave the remaining boxes empty. Those empty positions allow any letter; they are not physical blank tiles. If you also have a limited tile supply, open More options and enter it in Your letter rack, using ? only for an actual blank tile.
No. Reset clears only the current search clues. Remove a saved word separately from the Saved words panel.
Exclude letters removes every copy. If a guess contains repeated Es with different colors, use Guess feedback instead: enter the whole guess and its colors. If the only fact you know is a total count, use Letter counts to set E to Exactly, At least or At most the number required.
No. Share search restores the current clues, filters and display settings for someone opening the link. Your saved collection stays in your browser and is separate from those clues. Copy the words you want to send if you need to share a shortlist rather than a search.
