Find 6 letter words using these letters: L I S T E N

Enter LISTEN in the letter rack and look for six-letter words. LISTEN, SILENT, ENLIST, INLETS and TINSEL all use exactly those six letters once each. The order you type does not matter. Entering TINSEL produces the same pool because the tool compares letter counts, not the order of your input.

A longer rack is allowed. With seven tiles, every six-letter result must use a six-tile subset of the rack. Spare tiles may be left over, but the tool never invents an extra copy of a letter. Add known positions or excluded letters to refine that pool when the board gives you more clues.

Repeated letters and blank tiles

Each occurrence in the rack represents one available tile. BALLOON contains two L tiles and two O tiles; BALON contains only one of each. Those racks can therefore produce different results. If you have a blank tile, enter ? and the tool allows it to stand for any one missing letter. Two question marks stand for two separate blanks.

The displayed tile score uses the normal value of every letter in the word. If you play a blank tile, its actual value is zero, and board bonuses may change the total. These scores help compare word shapes, but they are not a complete game scoring calculator. Your game's own dictionary remains the final authority on accepted words.

Questions & answers

Letter counts, word lists and search tips.

What does ? mean in the letter rack?

It is one blank tile that can stand for any letter. For example, LISTE? can produce LISTEN by using the blank as N.

Is a rack the same as included letters?

No. A rack is the full supply of tiles you may use. Included letters are letters that must appear, while other letters are unrestricted. You can combine both controls.

Why is a familiar word missing from my rack results?

Count the copies of each tile first: LETTER needs two Es and two Ts, so LETERS cannot make it. Check fixed positions, exclusions and the repeated-letters switch next. If Everyday is active, try All words. A general dictionary can also omit words accepted by your particular game.

Can I narrow LISTEN to words beginning with S?

Yes. Enter LISTEN as your rack and S in position 1. SILENT fits both constraints. The position does not use a second S; it fixes where the existing tile goes. Clear the position to return to all arrangements of that rack.
